Dr Diana Chessman

Dr Diana Chessman is a specialist rheumatologist. She graduated from her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 2007 and completed a PhD evaluating the role of immune system proteins in the development of autoimmune diseases and allergy. She completed her rheumatology training at Royal North Shore, Concord and Royal Prince Alfred hospitals, attaining fellowship in 2014, and has worked in private practice in Chatswood since this time.
She has previously worked as a staff Specialist at Liverpool Hospital and was involved in running dedicated arthritis research clinics and clinic trials. She has held positions as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney and The University of New South Wales and was the coordinator of advanced training in rheumatology for the NSW Australian Rheumatology Association for several years. She is currently a member of the Australian Rheumatology Association State Council and advocates for rheumatologists, rheumatology trainees and patients in this role.
Dr Chessman treats all rheumatologic conditions but has special interests in inflammatory arthritis including psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis, and the management of rheumatic diseases in pregnancy. Dr Chessman works collaboratively with other specialists and allied health practitioners to help patients manage their disease while achieving their personal goals.
When not working, Dr Chessman spends her time with her family including her two active young boys and cavoodle, Rusty.
